Following the original 1550s Italian fairytale, we used Pina Bausch's intuitive and self-exploratory approaches to find an 'honest' means of physical expression when dealing with the story's themes of gender identity and sexuality. This was our first collaboration with Junior Cunningham whose dance expertise helped to produce an unsettlingly claustrophobic piece of dance theatre. This piece was produced as part of a practical assessment for the University of Warwick's Theatre Department.
This was an assessed piece as part of our third year practical dissertation. We don't have any reviews as such, but the project earned us a First.
